Horrible conduct by congregation Elders at my cousin's funeral.............

my cousin passed away last week from cancer at the age of 49. the cancer spread so fast it took our family by surpise.

we figured she had a couple of years instead of months.

she left 4 children(3 were baptised and 1 was disfellowshipped a couple of years ago).

JW runs when he hears the word "Jesus"

this morning i was in the office of a company that i do business with.

3 women were in the office and they all asked me how i was doing since i had major surgery last month.. i told them that i was recovering but it was kind of disappointing when i woke up in the recovery room instead of at the pearly gates.. one of the women said, "god must have more for you to do here.".

at which i replied, "yes, there are so many lost people who don't know jesus.".

isaacaustin:I had a friend who had stopped attending meetings due to doubt- about 1998. He was at a JW wedding and was standing outside. An elder from a neighboring hall came to talk to him and asked him how long he'd been a JW and where he went. My friend explained to him that he had been in the org over 30 yrs but was no longer attending. The elder asked him why. He explained his doubts to the elder and when done the elder told him he was very worried about him. My friend asked why. His friend told him when the door to the ark closes he will be left outside. My friend told him, "Hey wait a minute. I though Jesus said that he was the door and anyone trying to get in any other was was a thief and a plunderer." The elder looked dumbfounded and walked away...and reported my friend who got called in for a JC. He knew the elders were going to df him so he daed.
All for talking about Jesus.

This experience just shows how un-educated Witnesses are about the Bible's message which supposedly they promote! WHich I know, this isn't new. The man quoted a SCRIPTURE! And this elder couldn't refute it or try to reason OR give the usual...."well let me do some "research" and get back to you". Nice Experienced Shepherd!!!!

AND to top it off, the elder is a dirty WEASEL!!!!!
This "lost sheep" quotes a scripture - which the elder obviously froze over the sudden realization that his man has been reading the bible without the Watchtower's publications (gulp ) AND he's using "jesus" talk not Watchtower lingo so he must be an apostate.....so I guess the only thing left to do, as a wise mature man of the congregation is to go TATTLE TALE
on him?!?!?! UHHH...they drive me nuts!!!

Their NWT version of Prov. 11:9

9 By [his] mouth the one who is an apostate brings his fellowman to ruin, but by knowledge are the righteous rescued

The KJV version:

i just read the nov 15, wt - what a laugh.. so they admit some leave over their teachings and then they say there's no where else to go.

what a joke - they are liars.. .

was it a problem with a teaching?.

These 2 articles make my blood boil!!

Here's another wonderful paragraph:

PARAGRAH 2:

So translated:

- Those who've left the Organization no longer "appreciate Jesus' sacrifice"

- only those in the org or " in the "truth"" have serenity, happiness AND they lack nothing spiritually!!!

under the part "to fight temptation," a little dramatization of a young married man doing some work on his laptop.

he is tapping away when he suddenly slams his laptop shut.

"Under the part "To Resist Harmful Peer Pressure" a little dramatization of a late teenaged guy who is talking to himself about his friend who confided in him of some transgression and then asked him not to tell anyone. So the teenager thinks that he doesn't want to lose his friendship, and how his friend said it wasn't that big of a deal. But.....what his friend did is very questionable and this kind of thing really needs to be brought to the elder's attention.
Finally, he decides to turn his friend in even if it means losing the friendship.
Lesson--turn your friends into the elders and break the confidences of friends"

SO, 2 steps SHOULD be taken before you become a dirty disloyal rat and go the elders!

Your FRIEND confides something and the gutless rat you are decides.."no I don' have the balls to say to your face that MAYBE you're doing something that MAYBE a supposed transgression!!"

No, the cowardly kiss-a$$ that I am, will dutifully report this to the "chosen" and "wonderful" elders!!!!
